This cherry chocolate pie is an old family favorite and goes so fast you might want to make two at a time. The best part is very little cleanup involved!
Easy Chocolate Cherry Pie
You will need:
1-21 oz. cherry pie filling (divide)
1 graham cracker ready crust
1 1/2 Cup of milk
1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
2-4 serving size chocolate instant pudding
1-8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed (divide)
Chocolate syrup (optional)
Place 1 cup of pie filling on bottom of crust. Pour milk into bowl and add pudding mix. Beat with whisk for about a minute. Add almond extract and carefully stir in 1/2 of the Cool Whip.
Pour pudding mixture over pie filling in crust. Spoon remaining Cool Whip topping around the edge of the pie to form a border (about an inch). Spoon remaining pie filling over pudding mixture. Refrigerate 3-4 hours until set.
I usually drizzle Hershey’s chocolate syrup over the pie as it’s served, but it isn’t neccessary.
