Here’s a sure-fire way to please the peanut butter lover in your life. This Buckeye candy is a great child-friendly recipe. Except for melting the chocolate, there is no other cooking involved. It’s pure peanut butter and chocolate heaven.

Buckeyes (peanut butter and chocolate candy)
2 cups creamy peanut butter
1 stick butter (softened)
3 3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 bag Wilton cocoa candy morsels

Mix the peanut butter and butter in a large bowl until creamy. Mix in the powdered sugar until mixture holds together and is moistened. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet and place in the freezer for one hour.

Melt the cocoa candy morsels in a Wilton melting pot or in a double boiler. You can use regular chocolate or white chocolate. The photograph shows both.

Dip the peanut butter balls into the melted chocolate using a toothpick. Leave a small portion of the center uncovered. Place the dipped balls onto waxed paper. Let sit until the chocolate is firm.
