Here it is freezing January. Holidays are gone. Super Bowl’s in sight. You’ve worked hard all week and you just want to curl up and relax with Hot Chocolate and a good book. Maybe in front of a fire, or in your favorite jammies. Here is a version of Hot Chocolate that you never share with the kids …. your very own grown up version.
You will need the following:
- LARGE heavy pan
- 1 whisk
- 10-12 oz of dark chocolate chips
- 8 cups of regular (Vit D) milk. No substitute
- 8 cups Half and Half
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups Kahlua Mudslide
In the LARGE pot, slowly heat chocolate, milk, and half and half. Give that whisk a work out. Whisk until the milk is frothy and the chips are melted. Add vanilla, add 2 cups of Kahlua Mudslide turn off stove and give a final few whisks.
Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream.
If you like to experiment, you can always toss in a handful of butterscotch chips, or peanut butter chips. Makes your guests say hmmmm …. what am I tasting!
