Kids home from school? Reruns on TV and the children are bored? Whatever the reason, if you need an easy, no fuss distraction that children can enjoy making as well as eating, try the following recipe.

No Fuss Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe
You will need the following :
- 2 1/4 cups of Graham cracker crumbs (chocolate flavored work well, too)
- 3/4 cup of peanut butter (generic works well)
- 1 cup of margarine (melted)
- 3 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 large mixing bowl, wax paper and a cookie sheet
Melt margarine in microwave on lowest setting. Mix margarine, peanut butter, Graham cracker crumbs with spoon, blend in powdered sugar with spatula …. until you have what appears to be a big ball of peanut butter.
Line cookie sheet(s) with wax paper (helps with clean up).
Use about a tsp. of mixture to form each ball. Place the balls of the mixture on the cookie sheet keeping the balls about 2 inches apart.
Criss-cross with tines of fork, refrigerate for a half hour to 45 minutes. Remove, place on cookie plate and enjoy!
Variations include using the back of a teaspoon for indentation in cookie ball, add half tsp of your favorite jam. Or add a Hershey’s kiss. If you have chocolate chips on hand, let the kids press them into the ball once it’s flattened. If you have a houseful of youngsters, assign each the task of jam, chocolate chips, etc, so they can say “I made these!”
I have been making these *cheating* homemade cookies for over 40 years, and they still turn out perfect every time!
Hint: When using fork to criss-cross cookies, keep a small saucer of powdered sugar on hand (Wondra flour works well, too). Dip fork in sugar after each criss-cross to avoid peanut butter build-up and frustration!!!
