You will need:

Large, heavy saucepan
Wooden Spoon
Candy thermometer
Wax paper or tin foil
Little bit of patience

1-1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar ( light )
1/2 cup milk

1-1/4 tsp. vanilla
6 Tbs. butter
pinch of salt
1-1/2 cups pecans (substitute walnuts )

Combine all ingredients and bring to a soft ball stage (238* – 240*) Stir constantly! Turn off heat at soft ball stage.
Stir until mix thickens, becoming creamy and and pecans stay suspended in mixture. Spoon onto buttered wax paper or tin foil. Once cooled, store in appropriate container if you haven’t eaten them all.
