In a hurried and harried world, a crock pot can become a person’s best friend! Just set your recipe up the night before or first thing in the morning, turn it on low and go about your busy day. Come dinner time, you have a delicious and nutritious supper ready to serve, and very little clean-up. Can’t really ask for more than that!

Wait…yes you can. Easy crock pot recipes! There must be a zillion and the one below is one of the easiest and tastiest I know of.
The flavor from the sausage seeps into every bite and we seldom have leftovers. It’s also one of the most economical crock pot recipe’s and can be adjusted to include your favorite vegetables.

You will need:

4-6 potatoes, washed, peeled and cut in small chunks
2 pkg. Smokey Links sausage, cut in thirds
2 cans peas or green beans ( drained )
1 medium onion, diced

2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 tsp seasoned salt
Dash of garlic salt
Pepper to taste


Layer all ingredients in the crock pot. Pour soup over mixture.
Top with cheese and cover.
Cook on low for 5-7 hours. ( It’s done when potatoes are soft )

Serve and enjoy with a side salad and your favorite bread.

Tip: Try using your favorite vegetables instead of peas or green beans.
