Need a hearty and filling stew on a cold winters day? Brunswick stew is among the easiest stew/soup recipe’s around. Not only delicious but nutritious as well and so very simple…give it a try soon!

You will need:

6 quart stew pot/saucepan or Dutch oven
Large spoon
Soup Ladle

1-1/2 Tbs. butter
1 cup onion, diced
4 cups skinless chicken, diced bite sized or shredded ( I use about 2#’s of chicken breast )
1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
2 cans Italian style stewed tomatoes

1 tsp.dry mustard
3/4 cup green beans1/2 cup peas
1/2 cup corn
4 medium potatoes, washed and diced
5 cups hot water

1/2 tsp.pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt

Directions:

Melt butter and saute onions in dutch oven or saucepan.
Add chicken and cook on all sides until well browned. Add mustard, Worcestershire, garlic salt, pepper and stir well.
Add tomatoes and hot water…bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to simmer and cook about 40-45 more minutes.
Stir in all the vegetables and continue cooking until potatoes are tender.
Stew could not be any easier!
