If you’re still trying to find an easy New Years Eve recipe for dips, the one below couldn’t be more simple. It’s perfect for chips of any kind and quite tasty on some vegetables, i.e. celery. Give this one a try for your party, or even if you’re sitting alone waiting on the ball to drop on New years Eve! It’s a delicious *comfort* dip!
You will need:
Blender or food processor
2 pkgs softened cream cheese ( 8oz each )
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 medium red onion, peeled and diced small ( substitute sweet onion )
2 garlic cloves ( finely minced )
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
Dash or 2 of Tabasco
Place all ingredients in blender and blend slowly until smooth. Place in serving bowl, cover and refrigerate for 3-1/2 to 4 hours.
Serve with chips, garlic toast or your favorite snackers. Enjoy!
Tip: This can be made with an electric mixer, too. ( if you don’t want to haul out the blender/processor) Just be sure to blend on very low to avoid splatter.
