Once again, what sounds like a recipe is not. ( Remember Chicken Cocaine? )
Dirty Frosty, or Frosty the Inappropriate Snowman, is the result of CBS’s *mash-up*—the blending of shows to promote another show.
CBS, once known as the Tiffany network, has decided that introducing Frosty to strip clubs, pornography and ho’s ( that would be whores, not ho-ho-ho ) is suitable for your children.
Fox News states:
The video ad, “Frosty the Inappropriate Snowman,” takes authentic dialogue from CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” and “Two and a Half Men” and dubs it on top of the cartoon classic, changing well-known “Frosty” scenes to contain suggestions that the snowman and his friends visit a “strip club.”
I realize that some adults think this is hilarious, however they fail to remember that Frosty the Snowman is a Christmas special and originally aimed at children. Remember them? Those little people that are usually underfoot but trying to behave so Santa will visit? Now they can Google Frosty and see offensive material aimed at adults, and you probably wouldn’t know.
Why anyone would use a children’s show to promote adult comedy is incomprehensible to me. Do we really need a sexualized Frosty?
Parents Television Council president Tim Winter has called for the advertisement to be pulled, saying:
“It’s either ignorance or arrogance, but I can’t imagine the folks at the once-Tiffany network should think this is OK,” he told FoxNews.com. “Someone had to write it and someone had to approve it. It speaks to the decisions that are being made at CBS these days.”
Are there no boundaries anymore? Is nothing sacred? Frosty The Inappropriate Snowman is little more than a ratings ploy. Are our children no longer a priority?
I, for one, will now send CBS to my never watch again file. I want nothing to do with a company that places so little value on our children, or the Christmas season.
How very sad that some adults think sexual exploitation is just fine with our society.
