This apple dumpling recipe is a delight to make with the kids…if you peel and cut the apple wedges, you can stand back and let them do the rest! Quick, easy, and done in half an hour, with little mess or fuss. It’s a great anytime snack!

You will need:

8 x 9 cake pan or 10″ pie pan
small bowl
couple of kids ( optional )

1 can Crescent Rolls
1 large apple, peeled and cut into 8 wedges ( We use Granny Smith )

1 cup sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cup Mountain Dew

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350*

Wrap one Crescent Roll around one piece apple, place in ungreased pan ( continue with remaining rolls and apples).

Mix sugar and cinnamon in bowl and and sprinkle over rolls.
Cut margarine or butter into 8 pieces; place over each roll.

Pour Mountain Dew over rolls and bake for 30 minutes or until apple is tender. Remove, cool slightly, serve and enjoy!
