I just ran across one of our favorite crock pot recipe’s and had to share. After all the Halloween festivities, no one around here is going to feel like cooking tomorrow. Not only is the following nutritious, it’s delicious as well…and you have the added benefit of very little clean-up!
You will need:
5-6 quart crock pot
large resealable plastic bag
3 #s boneless beef round steak
½ cup flour
1-1/2 tsp salt
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground dry mustard
1/4 tsp pepper
1 med onion, sliced and separated into rings
2 cans (4 oz each) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 can beef broth
1-1/2 cups (12 oz) sour cream
1 # bag wide noodles
Directions:
Cut round steak into 3” x ½” strips.
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine flour, salt, mustard and pepper.
Add beef in batches; toss to coat.
In a 5-qt slow cooker, layer the onion, mushrooms and beef.
Pour broth over all.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender.
Cook and drain noodles about 20 minutes before Stroganoff is done
Just before serving, stir in the sour cream.
Serve over hot noodles and enjoy!
