I know…that doesn’t sound quite right but wait until you taste these delicious brownies made with chocolate, graham crackers and peanut butter! I was blessed to be born into a large family that enjoys cooking and one of my sisters started making these years ago….I wish I could remember which one!
This recipe is child (older) friendly and there’s hardly any clean-up. Give it a try some cool, rainy afternoon for a special treat!
You will need:
13 x 9 glass baking pan
cooking spray ( I use Pam )
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips ( I use Nestle’s Tool House but generic works well, too )
1 cup peanut butter ( creamy )
2 cans condensed milk ( 14 oz. size )
1 cup chopped pecans ( substitute walnuts )
4 cups crushed chocolate graham crackers
Preheat oven to 350*
Place condensed milk, peanut butter, semi-sweet chocolate chips in saucepan. Cook on medium heat until chocolate chips are melted and ingredients are mixed well. Stir constantly…it only takes about 2 minutes.
Turn off heat and add pecans and graham cracker crumbs. Mix well.
Press mixture into a heavily greased 9 x 13 pan ( Don’t forget to grease the sides ! ). Bake 20-25 minutes until done..
Remove from oven and let sit for at least 10-15 minutes before cutting. Serve warm or cold, anytime. Enjoy!
Note: To make a smaller amount, simply halve the recipe and use an 8 x 8 pan.
