We love trying different salads throughout the year and often delude ourselves into thinking how health conscious we’re being. Truth be told, we just like good food…and anything with bacon is, well….good food. Try this different broccoli/ bacon salad for a delightful treat year ’round.

You will need :

large heavy skillet
large bowl
small bowl
wooden or plastic spoon

3 cups broccoli florets
6 strips bacon
1 cup sliced mushrooms ( I use small,white buttons)
1 cup sour cream
1 clove crushed garlic
1/2 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp seasoning salt
3/4 tsp black pepper
1 Tbs chopped chives ( optional )

Directions:

Cook broccoli until tender but still a tad crunchy. Set aside to cool.
Cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels, cool and dice.
Combine broccoli, bacon, and mushrooms in a large bowl.

In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients. Pour over the broccoli mixture. Mix well and cover. Refrigerate for about half an hour before serving. Serve with any main dish and enjoy!
