Taco’s….sometimes I think my family believes them to be the *perfect food * and we used to use a lot of those pre-packaged mixes. One day I remembered that pre-made mixes weren’t always around and decided to search for my recipe from the 70’s. The only change I made was in the salt…kosher or sea salt seems to have so much more flavor! Give this a try, if you like it, just increase the amounts to double or triple the recipe and keep it on hand.

You will need :

Small jar with tight fitting lid
Measuring spoons
Small bowl

1 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp sea salt / kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp seasoning salt ( I use Lawry’s )

Directions:

In a small bowl, mix all spices together, pour into jar and don’t forget to label!
