Honey butter on toast, muffins, vegetables is such a delightful treat, and seems to satisfy the ever present sweet tooth around here. It’s probably the easiest recipe for anything ever and is kid friendly if you trust them with a mixer! Give this recipe a try the next time you want something different on your biscuits, muffins or pancakes.
The secret to making it fluffy( like the uber expensive honey butter in stores) is to use the whisk attachment on the mixer. This recipe is easily doubled or halved.
You will need:
- Medium bowl
- Mixer with whisk (or a good whisk used with a lot of elbow grease)
- 1/2 Cup of honey
- 1/2 Cup butter (softened to room temp)
Place butter in mixing bowl and whisk/mix/ blend until fluffy. This rakes a few minutes, depending on your mixer speed and amount of patience. Once fluffy, add honey a little at a time and continue mixing on lowest setting. Sample along the way, add more or less honey depending on your taste.
Store in airtight container until ready to serve, then bring to room temp in small serving dish. Enjoy!
