The one thing my family can agree 100% on is nothing is better than chocolate and peanut butter when mixed together. This no bake cookie recipe has been around forever with many variations, but the one below is our favorite. It’s also kid friendly …. especially when it comes to “cleaning” the pot. Give it a try!
3 Minute No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
You will need:
- large heavy sauce pan
- wooden spoon
- wax paper
- 3 Cups quick oats (we use generic)
- 3 Tbsp peanut butter (we use smooth)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup cocoa (we use Hersheys)
- 1-1/4 tsp vanilla
- pinch of salt
Combine butter, milk, cocoa, sugar and salt in pot over medium heat and bring to boil while stirring often. Boil for 3 minutes, and stir, stir and stir!
Remove from heat and mix in peanut butter and vanilla, stirring until peanut butter is melted. Pour in all 3 cups of oats and mix well. Use the tablespoon to drop mixture onto wax paper. Let them sit until firm (that’s the hardest part). When firm, they’re ready for the cookie jar (or any storage container).
Forget the calories for a minute and enjoy!
