This blueberry salad is so wickedly delicious that I have a hard time calling it a salad. It seems like a dessert to me. But hey, call it a salad and feel better about eating it. Here is the recipe.
We call this a blueberry salad and it is. It has blueberries, pineapple and nuts. It also had cream cheese and sour cream and just melts in your mouth. Its absolutely delicious.
- 2 small packages black cherry jello
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup blueberry pie filling
- 1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple (including juice)
- chopped nuts
- 8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 oz. sour cream
Dissolve jello in boiling water according to directions on the box. Cool in refrigerator, but don’t let it jell. Once it is cooled, add pie filling, pineapple, juice and chopped nuts. Mix well and chill.
Mix all ingredients until smooth. Pour on top of salad (or you can spoon it over individual servings). I generally sprinkle some nuts on top of the final product. You can also add nuts into the topping mixture, if you like.
Store in refrigerator.
