This is one of my favorite grape salad. Its easy and delicious. The recipe is below.
One of my nieces brought this great grape salad to a family gathering over the summer. It is fabulous. Its as much a dessert as it is a salad. Either way, its good and good for you. Its VERY easy to make and you can pretty much guarantee that people are going to be asking you for the recipe.
Grape Salad Recipe
- 2 pounds seedless green grapes
- 2 pounds seedless red grapes
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Wash and dry grapes. In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Add grapes and mix until evenly incorporated. Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans, mix again and refrigerate until serving.
Preparation time: approximately 15 minutes
Notes: I personally prefer this without the brown sugar, but its delicious either way. The brown sugar, when refrigerated over night, gives the sauce a caramel flavor. Try it both ways!
