Are you a cheese lover? Like to experiment? With people constantly on the go, dips and spreads have evolved over the years to include more variations than I can count! Below is the quickest and easiest for bleu cheese that I’m aware of.
Try spreading this on a hamburger instead of mustard or mayo! This is also a child-friendly recipe, but be careful with the Tabasco!
Bleu Cheese Spread
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese
4 to 6 ounces crumbled bleu cheese
2 tablespoons finely choppped/minced onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
smidgeon of Tabasco sauce
Soften cream cheese, then mash with fork; add the bleu cheese. Stir in onion, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco, blending well. Spoon in a serving dish and top with chopped parsley if desired.
This is wonderful on turkey or chicken sandwiches, as well as garlic toast or any dippers you might favor…use your imagination and enjoy!
