The recipe below is an old and easy to make favorite fudge…especially if you’re as fond of Macadamia nuts as we are.
Start to finish, this recipe for Madacamia Nut Fudge is about 15 minutes and clean-up is a breeze especially if you have a taste tester underfoot!
Macadamia Nut Fudge
You will need:
Large, heavy saucepan
2- 9″ square or round pans
2 teaspoons plus 1/2 cup butter, divided
4-1/2 Cups sugar
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
1 jar (7-8 oz) marshmallow creme
3 cups chopped macadamia nuts, divided
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
3 packages (4 ounces each) German sweet chocolate, chopped
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
Line two 9-in. square pans with foil.
Butter the foil with softened butter (tsp butter per pan). Set aside.
combine the sugar, milk and remaining butter in a large heavy saucepan. Bring to a gentle/easy boil. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from the heat and stir in chocolate chips, 2 cups nuts, chopped chocolate, marshmallow creme and vanilla. Add salt if desired.
Pour fudge into prepared pans; sprinkle remaining nuts over top and press in lightly. Refrigerate until firm. Using foil, lift fudge out of pans. Toss the foil; cut fudge into 1-in. squares and enjoy!
