I’m not one of those people that can look at a box of cereal and think “Oh! I can make candy with this!” but I know some that do.
My friend Merley sent me this delicious sweet and salty candy recipe and it’s probably the easiest thing I’ve ever made. It’s very child friendly and easily doubled, too !
Chocolate Chex Crunch
You will need:
1 Cup of Wheat Chex Cereal
1 Cup of pretzel sticks ( broken in half )
1/4 Cup salted roasted almonds ( or pecans )
6 to 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate pieces, melted
Combine the Chex, nuts and pretzels in a bowl, drizzle with melted chocolate and stir lightly ith would spoon. Spread out on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper and refrigerate until chocolate is set…usually about 30 minutes. Remove from fridge, place in candy dish and enjoy !
Refrigerate any leftovers for up to 5 days.
