This is the absolutely perfect dip to serve when entertaining. It not only tastes delicious but it looks pretty on the table. Just imagine telling your guests that you used fresh spinach for the dip. They’ll be impressed with your culinary expertise, and they’ll have no idea how easy it actually was.
Using fresh spinach gives it a fresh flair. However, frozen spinach is almost as good – and only the most discriminating palate will know the difference.
Fresh Spinach Dip
10 ounces of fresh spinach (or 1 pkg. frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
1 pkg. dry vegetable soup mix
16 oz. sour cream
1 cup mayonaise
1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
If using fresh spinach, steam until done. Then drain well and chop. Mix the soup mix with the sour cream and mayonaise. Then add the other ingredients and mix well. Serve with crackers or chips.
